Lindsay Thomas Morgan - December 4, 2011.
Darlene and I wrote this song a few years ago, around
about the time we became parents for the first time.
We always knew we would want kids voices included, when I
recorded the song.
When it came time to record, these voices were supplied
under the very capable direction of Dianne Leith.
Dianne runs and conducts an Adult and Children's
choir in the area of Central Ontario, where we all live.
I gave a copy of the song to my friend Bob Warren.
Bob has been a world class photographer all his life.
Just for himself, he put together a selection of his pictures,
to go with the song. It was beautiful.
Until I recorded a complete CD of Christmas music, the song
basically just "Sat on the shelf", until just this year I 'properly'
released "In the eyes of a child", on my Christmas CD
"Songs for a winter's night".
On taking another look at Bob's picture presentation, I thought
it matched the song perfectly, and therefore would make a perfect video.
I do hope you enjoy what you see and hear.
