  • hey man, would you recommend this amp over a fender blues jr? I have the jr. with a jensen speaker and I get great tone but I want something with more power. I like the features of this amp and it has the tweed look that I love. what do you think?

  • @opivy87 Im not sure if I would recommend it over a blues JR to be honest. Blues JR amps are great. They are a whole lot louder though, the 30watts makes a big difference in a gig situation/jam situation. They have a button on the top called "Boost" it's like a shit button, leave it off and you'll get some great results, but whether it's a nicer tone than a fender amp, I'd leave that to you to decide, everyone has different opinions about what sounds good. Cheers. :)

  • mate, does this amp take pedals well? drives and modulation?

  • @Danthehorse yeah it does. It takes overdrive pedals great

  • nice tone!

  • @rocknblues100 Thanks mate.

  • I have now owned the Delta Blues amp, for a year now. I use it as my main amp. For me it's one of the best amps I have owned. It sounds good and it's not heavy like a lot of other tube amps. I also have a Fender twin, PV classic 50 with 4 tens. I like them all, But I really like this Delta Blues amp.

  • I wish the Fender Blues Jr. NOS was USA Made, MIM just doesn't have the QC that the US factory has. Peavey, USA Made :-) I'm torn between the two. I need a smaller bedroom amp to play the Blues in the bedroom setting. 15 watts vs 30 doesn't matter to me, I know the Fender 15watts is LOUD. It's the tone that I'm not sure about :-) SRV, John Mayer, and other Blues is what I'm after. I know you have a Jr. NOS, I wish they had a SB switch on it. Does the Fender get very hot?

  • Hi Shane , Will it still sound sweet with the volume on 1 or 2 with just a little bit of drive ?

  • @intheblues Blues Jr. is legendary for it's amazing tone regardless of the fact it is inexpensive also. This amp sounds good, but really no comparison.

  • Great review - very helpful.

  • Forgive my newbieness but what is that little black box on top of the amp that you seem to be fiddling around with?

  • What would you recommend. The Peavey Delta Blues or Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for Blues style? What advantages and disadvantages? Thanks in advance.

  • still one of the best demo vid's on Y tube- some day I'm gonna have this amp-oh yah...............you have got to do another demo-please.

  • This is the best versatile amp on the market period. 20 watts is just not quit enough. 50 watts is too much at times. This amp delivers an awesome 30 watts and fits like a glove for any occasion from blues to classic rock. If you ever get one dont sell it or you will regret it. The cats out of the bag on this amp and replacing it would be hard unless you get lucky like i did. I bought mine for $200.00. It is worth 3 times that and much more in tone quality. Ireplaceable*

  • I was looking to hook up my fender tweed into the external speaker jack except I haven't bought this amp yet. Whats the jack rated?
