Started in London in 1979 as a brush-up course for rusty churchgoers, the Alpha Course has become a worldwide phenomenon and is now held in 163 countries. It is estimated that more than 13 million people worldwide have attended an Alpha Course.

The Alpha Course comprises 15 sessions held over 10 weeks and is free and open to everyone. No question is out of bounds, and participants are free to say as much or as little as they wish as they make up their own minds about the teachings of Jesus. Spirited discussions often ensue on topics ranging from Who is God? and Why am I here? to Why is there suffering? and Is God a delusion?

  • i wonder if he spoke in tongues like the other brainwashed attendees?

  • what verses is bear speaking about?

  • praise god!!

  • What's alpha?

  • If Tony Blair, a catholic, has completed the Alpha Course & still remains a catholic, this immediately tells you how authentic the Alpha Course is in leading men to God. A truthful course will always lead men to Jesus the Saviour, the truth of God's word and to God Himself & being born again. And if any course is not doing that but promoting ecumenism, then it is not telling the truth of God's word nor is it from God. It looks like it is the same with Bear Grylls who remains a catholic.

  • @mirrodin68 Also, yesterday I read a specific chapter in Bears book 'Living Wild' which is in fact the whole gospel in a nutshell. Quotes: "When we turn to Jesus, simply and honestly and ask for forgiveness, we are made clean. (...) It is a gift for you, bought by Jesus at a great price. He died on a cross tortured to death, in our place, so that we could be forgiven and set free. (...) Pray and ask for Jesus to come into your life and stand beside you." Complete testimony on webbook, page 246

  • @mirrodin68 Actually in another video where he is at Tomoka Prison, he tells the inmates about his faith. He tells about a prayer in which he desperately asks God to be his friend again, having that same faith and relationship with Him he used to have when being a child.

Yes, he does quote the bible, but there's nothing wrong with that. In fact I think that's great. Especially the quoting of 'I can do everything with Christ'. And that's exactly the point. Watch the Tomoka Prison video.
