  • If you are worried that your child may be autistic, you will need to look beyond the NHS or National Autistic Society for good advice. Yes, autism is a life-long condition, but that doesn't mean there is nothing you can do.

    For good up-to-date advice go to the American professional body by typing "aap autism" into Google.

    There is also a good UK site where you can check any treatments you hear about: type "researchautism interventions" into Google.
