Testing my new modded Marshall JCM 900 SLX

I'm using a Gibson LP Standard Faded and a 1936 cab for the head. The amp was modded by Tommy Folkesson.

thats probubly the best sounding marshall ive herd yet. very smooth, but still with that leval of gian. but yeah, the clean channel does suck :-P

Yes it's was very smooth sounding, the mod took away the harshness. The clean sound isn't the best, but who cares it's a marshall ,right? =)

What was modded? Did you replace the Transformers? I've got an 82' JCM 800 (2205) that I had modded. Replaced the OT and Choke for a Mercury and the diodes for FREDS. Very dynamic now.

@MetalScreamer510 try a properly set up and maintained DSL100. I own a mesa rectoverb and 5150 and the DSL is my favorite personaly. AMAING cleans for a Marshall or anything else really and it's definitely voiced like a plexi (no as good obviously but, that's it's voicing).
