@Disley74 It's snobbish remarks like yours that turn people off opera. These performers are NOT classically trained, they've had years of singing mainly pop music. For them to perform as well as they have done is really admirable. It's refreshing to see people from different genres singing outside their "field of expertise". I listen to a lof opera but i enjoy watching and listening to this kind of programme a lo as wellt. So remove that stick from your posterior and lighten up.

Can you lot not get it into your heads that an opera "star" is someone who can perform the role on stage repeatedly without a microphone, PROJECT and also create a character whilst having to sing in incredibley awkward positions. This garbage is not about an Opera Star! Think of Domingo, Callas, Nillson, Hotter, Rennee Fleming Joan Sutherland. The list goes on, but does not inclued the no doubt sexy Ms Nolan! Its only because her audience haven't heard any of the above that they are cheering !
