Hell, I did it first time. Don't remember if I completed the mission first time.

I actually took off up and to the left. Just barely clipped me.

@Whitecroc i didtn die and was the first time i played.. it did crash on me but i didnt die :S either the damage is relative to the difficulty level wich i chose normal, or i used a tougher ship than most

Dying on the first try is mandatory for all newcomers to the game. No exceptions.
Now go restart the mission and do as he says this time.

I was wearing headphoines playing this in the middle of the night years ago and it scared the hell outta me I died the first time as it ran into me cuz I was too startled to know wtf was happening

Holy shit I remember when i first played this mission, i didn't move out of the way in time, and from that day forward i listened to everything a wingman had to say.
I'll never forget this mission either. Volition always had a way of making sure you feel the futility of fighting the Shivans throughout the first and second game, but the wingmen reporting MULTIPLE Super Juggernauts jumping into Gamma Draconis, after throwing nearly the entire armada defeating just one, REALLY hit the point home.
