  • The 5th field is used by old backup programs like "dump" to archive whole file systems. The 6th field controls file system checking during boot. File systems are checked using the order listed in this field. The root file system should be the only one with a 1 in this field. All others should use 2 (multiple file system checks are run in parallel to speed up the process.)

  • why did you print 1 and 2 at the end of fstab ?
