"AIDS come from the sex worker to the client..." what about the clients where most AIDS infections come from??? If this "doc" doesn't reinforce the notion of condemning "unrespectable" womyn who seek out sex work while promoting fake cautionary tales and making "victims" out of womyn who choose this and died due to some other means to keep "good" girls away from this isn't patriarchal, I don't know what is.

You get HIV and AIDS from the exchange of bodily fluids, NOT through prostitution. This "documentary" is so bigoted. It is also a fraud (these are actors, not actual people).

WOW I saw the 6 episodes and have to say they educated me. Now what happens to the ladies that do get visas and migrate to the west ? Maybe that would be an idea for next six episodes :) Do the men who look for dream partner get their just deserts :) Love the show great commentary on our Thai and Western society.

If you head out of town, into the more countryside areas, visit a "Thai Karaoke" bar. These places are seedy thai-only areas. You can sleep with a girl for as little as 100baht

Yes you’re right about that Thai men not going to places like the Western Men, Thai men go to much more seedy brothel houses where the women are treated like animals paraded in glass boxes with numbers attached to them, if there number is chosen they have to sleep with the customer without even meeting him or talking to him. Usually the money earned also has to be shared with the owner of the house.
Don’t think for a minute that average Thai men don’t go with Thai prostitutes.

Thai men are not allowed into go-go bars aimed at Westerners. One reason is that the go-go girls have boyfriends but lie to them as to the work that they do. If a Thai man was to walk in and see his gf all over a man, then it would cause big trouble for the club.
Another reason is money, the prices are aimed at foreigners. The average thai cannot afford a beer in these bars, and the ones who can are disgusted by the westerners openly parading prostitutes as their gf's.
Great documentary btw.
