Former USC symphony director Daniel Lewis is credited with cultivating the university orchestra to delicate refinement over his quarter-century as its caretaker (1976-1995).
He was interviewed by 91.5 Classical KUSC announcer Jim Svejda on June 23, 2006, as part of the USC Emeriti Center's H. Dale Hilton Living History Project.
