Mr. Rogers must be alive...his comments describe perfectly the situation that we have today. Thanks for posting this.

This is a beautiful, brave, funny, and sad speech. If it actually was an address for a 10,000-banker convention or simply a satirical piece of dry humor delivered for laughs at one of his radio shows doesn't matter. It entertains and enlightens. Money changers have been a necessary evil in "civilized" societies since Biblical times. I seriously doubt the plane was sabotaged. He went to ALASKA in a tiny plane with 1930's tech. It was a patched-together plane handled by a one-eyed pilot! RIP.

Fantastic. Just as relevant today as in the 1930s.

I like Mr.Will Rogers, I wonder what wise words he would speak of, if he was still around today...

Good God, the Feds must have had Post & Rogers' plane sabotaged!
No way this would be tolerated by the Goldman's Sachs & CFR alumni
in the administration today. They'd have Ms Piggy & "Homeland Security"
declare Rogers a TERRORIST!
In those days Rogers was as big a national star as Tom Cruise, with
the difference that Americans believed everything Rogers said.

Will Rogers: "Loansharks and Interest Hounds. I have addressed every form of organized graft in the United States, excepting Congress. You are without a doubt, the most disgustingly rich audience I ever talked to.... So goodbye, you're the finest bunch of shylocks that ever foreclosed on a widow's home."
Jct: Imagine getting the chance to tell the banksters to their face in an era where there was no other way. Youtube for my "Forgive Lord Rothschild for asking poor to pay" video for my rant.

judging by the label and the eccentric groove at the end of the disc, I would guess this dates from like 1925-25.

Nobody ever mentioned the fact that Will Rogers was a Cherokee? Wonder if 'racism' had any thing to do with it?

So apt for our times, *all* times?!
We native americans are proud of our brother Will Rogers. He was proud of his Cherokee heritage above all.

Will Rogers issued forth so many pearls of wisdom in his time, such as this one, it sends a shiver up your spine. Many of his gems are interspersed with outright humour, or at the very least, dry wit. The latter is the case here. The most amazing part about Mr Rogers is that most of his pearls of wisdom are just as relevant today as they were in the 20s & the 30s. Congrats, cdbdx .. this is a wonderful post !!
