  • Thanks for the comments. @DRlong2468, the key words are "since that time." I switched to a plant base diet 8 months after my thermal loading. I did it for a year as part of my own self experimenting. Im now following the slow-carb in 4HB. As for the science, it was well documented in peer-review in the 50s & 60s. I just brought it back to the attention to the community. I've got new work coming in time.

  • @Sk1nnyF4t I agree. These TED talks are usually longer than this. I guess they only let Ray Cronise talk for a very short while. There is a LOT more he could've talked about. He didn't even get around to BAT (Brown Adipose Tissue). He has a blog if you're interested. It's Thermogenex in the YouRL. I find his writing hard to follow, though. Too scientific for me. He needs to bring it down a level. Also, make sure to take a look at the ICE AGE section of the book 'The 4-Hour Body' by Tim Ferriss.

  • Throwaway line:"I switched to a plant-based diet" Well, now he just added a variable. Throws any causality out the window. (aside from the fact that all his :"proof" is anecdotal to begin with)

  • Video is lacking. He doesn't give one specific example of how to exploit this principle other than inferred idea of swimming in a cold pool.
