The Mikan Drill (named after NBA great George Mikan- look him up and learn) is a very simple fundamental basketball exercise to practice the most basic of skills-- making a layup.
Your goal is go through a certain number of layups -- I do 20 in this vid -- without missing. If you miss, start over and do it without missing. If you cannot make 20 layups in a row without missing, there's no need to practice anything else. Because you won't be playing anywhere.
