wether it's played by a rock band, chamber orchestra or by this machine, this is always beutiful.

to the people who think this is just random notes. after listening to the black page enough it becomes catchy. really. This version is more complex and has more added harmonics, but the melody is one of the greatest compositions zappa has made, listen to the real version and come back and you'll understand it better

@JJStuffEngineering sure about that? when Vai made the audition this synth was not still in the hand of Zappa and other musichans, imho
-
there you know where steve vai has got it from :)

Why hold a flashlight to your head to look for marbles, butter it and examine your prostate, find keys to the bee-mer?
-
Sounds like fractal music.
-
this is a bit like black page 1 mixed with black page 2, lol: the return of the son of black page 3?

The point is to have an opinion, period!

@roncstelep yeah yeah your a genius, one of the greatest synthesist in the world or whatever.. whenever Pierre Boulez or Nicolas Slominsky even express interest in your works, let alone conduct them with great interest like they did Zappa's, i'll listen to what you have to say about yourself... ps. check out Dupree's Paradise/Amazing Mr. Bickford conducted by Pierre Boulez here on youtube and THEN let me know how much better an arranger you are

Why do people say such nasty things to each other? Zappa was a genius, he was also many other things including a total dork, ok so what? listen to the music, make your minds up and be happy whatever!
