    Swimming is a sport durr

  • swimming is a sport duuuuh

  • Forget swimming! Forget Jogging! Play sports!! They're fun and you'll burn a ton of calories.

I’m not saying swimming and jogging aren’t great cardio workouts, just not that fun.

My fav is Basketball! You're entire body is in motion and by the end of three (21) games you've burned TON'S of calories. Boom, full body cardio, fun, and easy!!!!

  • I've heard this too. and it depresses me b/c I prefer swimming than jogging by far. I heard that intensity is key, but keeping the pulse high in the pool for an extended period is tough. Form falls away and you start gasping..etc. So many people seem to end up doing lap swimming in a slow and steady way, you wonder if their pulse is being elevated enough or not. Where as walking or running is more simple for us humans. And swimming make s you hungrier than jogging too.

  • I read in a swimmers magazine that swimming burns less calories than running in the same amount of time because the water cools your body down. The magazine suggested that swimmers do running/biking in addition to their swim workouts.
