  • @curty85 absoultely! dumbass move on the captains part.

  • the U.S. navy has always been a sad embarrassment.

  • The Sub didn't sink that tug, the tug Captain should have backed off the sub and none of this would have happened. The Captain is responsible for his vessel.

  • @genesmall101 That boomer is a convertion to the now SSGN just like her sister ship SSGN 726 Ohio. But what happened and why was the tug going down sternward? The captain of the tug should've not been too close to the dihedral dive plane.

  • @bobelayer How can you win a war against yourself? NOBODY WON the civil war. And we DIDN'T WIN the Korean and Vietnam war. Not even close. MANY Americans DIES FOR no reason. who care if ANOTHER country wants to be a communist state. Let em, and let them learn from their mistakes.

  • excrement occurs

  • It just goes to prove that accidents happen - not much you can do about it but learn from the mistakes and improve procedures. Hell they've lost nukes both on land and in the sea! Same goes for the Russians. Not sure about the rest, least of all the French. To err is human but to really screw up you have to believe that nothing will ever go wrong on your watch...

  • @bobelayer That's OK. I am a Brit. So thank you. 'Top comment' says the tug suffered an engine failure around 00:20 to 00:30 which prevented it backing away. The sub should have waited till the tug was clear in my opinion because of the submerged dive plane which stick out some 15ft on these big subs. I bet manoeuvring protocols on subs are different now though! Thank you for your respect which is much appreciated.
