WARNING! A FEW GRAPHIC PHOTOS! Edward Theodore Gein was born in La Crosse, WI in 1906, moved with his family to Plainfield, WI in 1914, where they had a farm and grew potatoes. While growing up, he would read the book Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, he would look at the pictures in the Gray's Anatomy book, and began to get sexually excited by them. His father and mother slaughtered a pig, and that is when Ed Gein had his first orgasm. As an adult, he was shy and bashful around women, but he would really stare at women, even when he was in the mental hospital. When his family died, he began being a grave robber and murderer, and mentally ill. Possibly practiced necrophilia. According to Ed, he was a virgin, and died a virgin. Was arrested for murder in November, 1957 of Bernice Worden (single .22 shot to the temple and body mutilated) and Mary Hogan (murdered in 1954). He was placed in a mental institution (Central State Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Waupun, WI (now converted into a prison called the Dodge Correctional Institution) and moved to another one (Mendota Mental Health Institute, Goodland Hall, in Madison, WI) where he passed away in 1984. He used to dig up bodies and keep some parts where he would keep in groups, noses, skins, facial skins for masks, skulls, shrunken heads, scalps, hair, and vaginas. He made soup bowls out of skulls and used skin for leather on a chair and lamp. He made a suit out of women skin where he would dance by the full moon. He put the masks up on the walls, and had skulls on his bedposts. A lot of what you read about him might not be true, since he tended to be agreeable and evasive when he was questioned about it. In his later years in the mental institution he did not like to talk about his past, repeating "Don't dig up the past, what's done is done." His final wish was he really wanted to go to Australia, but wasn't allowed to leave, and by that time he had cancer and dementia.
The only good somewhat accurate movie about Ed Gein is "In the Light of the Moon".
Notable pictures:
at 02:02 you can see a mask he made out of facial skin on the left side of the bed.
at 01:32 you can see a chair that he covered the bottom with skin.

  • Cool how you got all these pictures.

  • @ginabeana01 one of the trials was done 10 years later, so the weight gain and hair loss can be explained.

  • wow! a while in the hospitals, eating three square meals a day( at least not human) and presumebly not drinking alchohol really fattened him up.. his skin looks different too... jesus what a sick fuck!

  • @dfg297lpopdirk your absolutely correct

  • @ItzSlamDuncan How would you start that off? "I spy with my little eye, something made of skin"?

  • That would be a fun house to play I spy in.

  • Ed Gein did any thing he felt like, he was not afraid of punishment, or of society a true loner, who lived life as he felt fit to live it. maybe we all have a dark side and would act like this if there was no moral constraint. Why do we watch these videos ? is it because we are horrified at others who do not keep them selves in check like we do ?

or because given the right circamstances we might all do things we would not belive ourselves capable off ?

  • @GhostOfEdGein666 lol same here

  • Poor man, may god rest his tormented soul.
