how much did you buy this gun for??? I found a 1940 147 mauser for sale $200 with 350 8mm rounds....looks like good condition. The guy says its a sniper rifle, there are 4 holes on the receiver to hold a scope. this a good buy???? thanks!

I have an M38 8x57mm and a 1895 7x57mm and get all the ammunition I want at Gander Mountain........I have a Model 1889 7.65x53mm Im just getting back together and have found ammo only on gunbroker.

Nearly everywhere, because this weapon is so popular. Today in Germany modified actions are in use as hunting rifles. An the caliber is still 8x57 IS because of its good punch against boar.

Hey, nice rifle, I just got mine, wha ammo you using ?
I used Yugo 1955 corrosive, then changed to 198g Privi Partizan non corrosive .

nice sound turkish mauser carbines are the loudest Yugo mausers seem to have the biggest muzzle flash nice rifle now all u need is a couple more
