Both teams powerhouses than, and this is the year Alabama won the championship. It wont be long until ND is back up there. Kudos to Joe Pa though. Much respect! He has been through all the great coaches from the 1960s of ND to present. Even against Hayes, Schembechler and Bear Bryant.

This was my first ever trip to Notre Dame and what a time to make it my first game ever to Notre Dame Stadium. Joe vs Lou. Penn State vs Notre Dame. Future NFL stars on both sides. It doesn`t get any better than this.

Just need to remind you dumb Irish pricks that my Penn State Lions thrashed you guys at Beaver Stadium the year before and it was really cold that game because I remember headed back to the dorms after the game and it took me 3 hrs. to thaw out! But hey, beating up on the Irish was worth it!
