I as a person who thinks and always is on guard not to fall into the brainwashing of the system(society) am obligated to speak out and say hey people start making your own conclusions dont let others tell you want right or what you should do!

@Jasinna My dad was declared brain dead this past December after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He was actually dead far before he stopped breathing, as he had machines breathing for him. But believe me, he was dead. Completely and utterly. I don't know where you are reading these stories, but you are misinformed. Donation is a wonderful thing that saves lives and the people who donate are dead far before they harvest the organs. They only give anesthetics to living donors, not cadavers.

I heart organ donors because my mother is one and I am the recipient! She gave me a kidney on June 24, 2003. Over seven years and still going strong! :)

@vinporto cont. intentionally killing someone just to find out that the organs aren't viable? It makes no sense.
Also, I am a living transplant recipient. My mom gave me her kidney on June 24, 2003. People can live with one kidney. My grandfather was born with only one kidney and he's lived a healthy and productive life. My mom did not donate her kidney by force. I was on the transplant list, but my mom decided from the moment she learned that I had ESRD that she would donate her kidney to me.

@vinporto I too am sorry that you heard false information. The #1 myth about organ donation is that you will not be saved by doctors because their only interest is your organs. The transplant team is a separate group of doctors and they are only called in once the person has died. Then, the organs must be screened to ensure that they are viable for transplantation, so the doctors working to save your life wouldn't even be able to tell that your organs could be donated. Why would they risk...

@vinporto Becoming an organ/tissue donor is a personal decision. The individuals in the video are sharing their reason for being a donor with the goal of having viewers consider and decide on their own.

Being a donor is not such a bad thing but I am not! WHY because there where cases when people desided to be donors and instead of doctors fighting for your life it seems like they say, "hey if he doesnt survive atleast we can salvage his spare parts." Being a live donor I disaggree with that totally ... there is no such thing as a spare kidney or lung there is a reason nature made your organs and its a crime against the people you love to force them to donate out of simpathy.

@vinporto I am sorry you heard this false information but doctors not trying to save a person's life because they are a donor is a misconception. I encourage you to view the two "Ask the Donation Expert" videos on the DLI channel that address this issue.

And what will be left from you in the cuffin is a " something empty".
