This footage was shot in Berkeley, Ca July 8 2009. It shows several Berkeley Police Officers including
Sergeant Hong using pain compliance during a 5150 mental health stop even when no resistance was occurring and the detainee was being passive.Towards the end, after the ambulance arrived, Sergeant Hong accosted an observer and attempted to confiscate his camera. Even though the copwatcher got mad when the Sergeant attempted to steal his property, the tape shows that he was calmly and quietly observing before his rights were violated. @levelninetroll Basically, touching someone with out their consent is assault. Battery is when you inflict injury or harm upon another person. "Technically" what the officer did was assault him by touching his hand.
