The 2007 World Micro Heli Cup was another great event. Held at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL on October 21 and 22. It was here you had the opportunity to watch some of the best micro and mini helicopter pilots in the world come together at the 23rd annual iHobby Expo trade show and compete for their share of $2500.00 purse.

Micro class flights were fun and fast paced. Free Style maneuvers included Tick-Tocks, Hurricanes, Blade Scuffs, Forward and Backward Flips, Rolls, etc. Some maneuvers were so close to the ground it was amazing the model flew out of it instead of crashing.

As exciting and fun to watch as the Micros were, the Minis were where the real excitement was to take place. Everything the Micros did, the Minis did bigger, faster and with more precision. Tick-Tocks on the deck? No problem. Horizontal rolls the length of the room without losing altitude, again no problem. Hurricanes around the ceiling support pillars? Yes, and all were done so smoothly the models appeared to be on wires.
