The ANNIE OAKLEY Series( '53-'57) from Gene Autry's Flying A Productions. Starring Gail Davis (Annie) and Jimmy Hawkins (Tagg). Back then the stars of TV shows sometimes did their own commercials. They then would be seen in magazines and Billboards indorsing the products...more exposure...more ratings...and they got paid extra. They'd received the products each month at their homes...that is as long as they sponcered the shows.

When Annie & Tagg weren't pitching Carnation Homogenized Milk or Ice Cream, they made sure you and your dog knew about Friskies [canned] Dog Food {with REAL U.S. Government inspected horsemeat!}.
