Looks just like my dog Sadie...I call her a Labet!!!

My dog looks exactly like this but with pointy ears. She's a pharaoh hound/lab mix.

Thanks for the video, my dog Sadie looks just like Tina...could not figure out why she wasn't filling out like a lab..until yesterday when I discovered she has Whippet in her...runs like the wind.

aww, so cute! My dog Roxy actually looks identical to your black lab/whippet mix, we adopted her at 5 years old, now she is 8 years old and Is such a bright dog! I smiled when i saw this video because they are soo much alike, its crazy! The way they act, play its so neat.. Is Tina a big suck? Roxy will literally stay in my arms all day like a baby if i would let her! Thanks for posting, It made my day!

wow. that's even more bizarre considering the vet thought she had some sharpei when she was little, based on the spotted tongue....which is also prevalent in chow mixes (tho Ash is waaay too narrow and short haired to have any chow). she has a really curly tail too. but i think that's the whippet. she run like a greyhound- did tina as well?

what's even more bizarre is that Ashling has the SAME personality as Tina. I showed this to family and they were completely blown away by the similarities.

Tina, along with her sister Laura, were originally found as strays in Taiwan. Tina not as much, but Laura definitely has some Formosan Mountain Dog characteristics. FMDs are indigenous to Taiwan.

she looked 100% chocolate lab at 4-6 wks. she also a "saddle" of blond highlights which came out much later, and her eyes went from light green to amber.
i loved seeing all your dogs! foster/rescue? good for you!!
oh- that's really interesting! Well, they're definitely not from the same litter with Ash being from LA/USA, but the Formosan Mtn. Dog characteristics have that thickness that could account for a Pit look in the mix. I wonder if the genetics test I have would pick up on exotics....

I've seen genetic tests done on other Taiwan dogs. Formosan Mountain Dog isn't a recognized breed in those tests. What usually happens is they pick the breeds closest to that, breeds with asian roots such as chows, shih tzus, etc.
