  • Good interview.

What Sharay seemed to be describing, It used to be called paying dues- work hard, play out wherever, get seen, meet others, make relationships,be responsible, good to work with, don't suck, and if the talent is there and it's strong enough, people will notice and word will spread and doors will start to open. maybe facebook will help too, I don't know.

  • @raddehc ...Aw Yeah - Facebook is a great tool for networking...

  • JRoss - you are a brilliant, honest man. It is so rare to hear an interview with such focus and intelligence. Sharay Reed is one of the greatest - thanks for the interview

  • @iamnotaterrorist ....Thanks....Sharay is the cat

  • I thought I was the only musician that can't remember sets in their head. Felt bad about that for a long time. Glad he said that.

  • @csharp57 ....Most cats can't - laptops....lol

  • We still are in the devil's system of things. So we still have to render unto ceasar what is ceasar's. Therefore, if God has blessed you to work within his word and a place where you are surrounded with like minded persons then Halleujah!!! However until God sees that the rest of us are ready for him to open that door, I can't judge him. I know that in his heart he feels like the rest of us that truly play from our hearts for Jesus and God. To one day play in one of God's churches in Heaven.

  • @Kuuuks And whilst saying that, playing for 'secular' artists is a way of ministering, because you can be ministering to those on tour with you, whilst others wouldn't have access to that. Salvation is for everyone, including secular artists, but we're limited as to how to approach them

  • I love Sharay but his opinion about playing for R. Kelly and still keeping his faith is not biblical...He's in a way helping promote ungodly life style and still thinks his faith behind it has nothing to do with it? To me it feels like he is chasing after money with his gift in the wrong place and not trusting and depending on God solely to bless him with these talents but rather would conform to the standards of the world just to get paid and thinks it's Okay, sorry brother...YOU'RE WRONG......

  • @egatx ....LOL!!! - Sharay requested all hard questions, he knew it was coming and it would be non scripted.
