My beautiful daughter committed suicide on Aug. 5, 2009. In June of this year she was admitted to Welland County General Hospital and diagnosed with depression, she had thoughts of suicide. She was to be in hospital for 2 weeks, they released her after only 72 hours armed with a perscription and the name of counsellor! Disgraceful! At the end of the video are 2 e-mail addresses, one for the Province of Ontario for Healthcare and the other for the Niagara Health Care System, please contact them if you agree with me and want a drastic over-haul of our Health Care System. Suicide should not be the third leading cause of death for teens....We can do better for our children and depression should be treated as the serious illness it is and not dismissed by an uncaring Healthcare System.
