Boehner: Continued Job Losses Signal Dangers of Dems Job-Killing Agenda

GOP Leader: Washington Democrats policies whether its a government takeover of health care, a national energy tax, or card check are already costing jobs and will pile even more debt on our kids and grandkids. WASHINGTON, D.C. House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor reported that the nations economy continued to lose jobs in the month of November: After yet another month of job losses, its clear that one question President Obama is sure to get on his listening tour is: where are the jobs? Of course, while any decrease in the unemployment rate is encouraging, a jobless recovery and double-digit unemployment is not what the American people were promised. More than three million Americans have lost their jobs since the President signed the trillion-dollar stimulus that was supposed to keep unemployment below 8 percent and put people back to work immediately. Anyone who views todays report as cause for celebration is out of touch with the American people, especially when Washington Democrats policies whether its a government takeover of health care, a national energy tax, or card check are already costing jobs and will pile even more debt on our kids and grandkids. I am confident our economy will ultimately recover, but it will do so because of the hard work and entrepreneurship of the American people, not wasteful Washington spending. The President, the Vice President, and just about all of the senior members of their Administration have never run a business and dont know what it takes to create a job. I know what it takes to hire new workers, meet a payroll and maintain a healthy balance sheet. Republicans have offered the President and congressional Democrats common-sense solutions to help small businesses create jobs, and we hope they start listening to the American people and working with us to get our economy moving again.

  • You can look at the Boehner's dress up. He's always looking good with different ties to match his shirts.

From standpoint of observation, this kind of person just only tries to look good in front of viewers. He is for the rich, soap opera. He is not good for the poor. He is so out of touch.

Don't listen to him. I think he's trying to BS to you.

Wake up America, don't listen what politician says but look what they vote for.

  • @MissMoxie78 True, it was started under a republican president, but the Democrats had the Congress since 2006, and neither have dont anything but explode the deficit and continue to allow the Federal reserve to print money like crazy which has killed our Dollar, Obama of course has done everything he could to expand the policies of GWB, people need to realize the Dem's,and the NEO CON republicans of today are cast from the same mold just one is blue and the other is red.

  • @MissMoxie78 Perhaps you weren't aware that in 2006 Democrats gained majority in the House and the Senate. Yes, This all started under Bush's watch, but the Dems own this as much as Bush and they did not inherit this, they helped to create it.

  • Dem. and Rep. have been responsible for killing jobs in America. For instance when you gave General Motors bail out money you did not require them to manufacture 70% of the parts in America!!!!

  • you go john.SEEN THIS AT-----

  • Impeach Hussein Obama!

Thanks for fighting for U.S. Mr. Boehner!

    JOHN BOEHNER 2012!

  • Corporate Transparency with 100%consumer satisfaction! I cant understand why the bailout is for people who use tax dollars to invest in foreign economies?

  • We all know the numbers don't tell the entire story. I just cannot understand what Gov't is doing... it defies all logic and common sense.

    Is it 2010 yet???
