I've read some of the other comments. Seems like the spectators via youtube always seem to know more than the participant.lol

He completely forgot to keep his hands up. He's got heart though, you could see how tired he was in the end.

IMO every grading (belt ranks whatever) should drive people to that "Oh god what the fuck now" point of tiredness. That's where you start finding out how good people really are.

That is the point. Show heart, technique under pressure, survival. Promotion tests should not be easy. Nobody will say that an instructor rank from NYCS is undeserved.
