@TV843 That's exactly what I was thinking too....I was imagining guys in vietnam saying to themselves "if I survive this war I'm buying a sports car!" now those cars are rusting piles of heaps and those guys have probably passed away. I used to own sports cars but sold them...I still wonder if the cars are still out there somewhere.
I think the coolest part of this is to imagine each of these cars at one time rolled brand new and shiny off of an assembly line & into someone's driveway. At one time, they were somebody's "baby". They drove thousands of miles. They took people to school, work, on road trips. They had fender-benders and first kisses (and other things). Somewhere, some of the people who owned these cars are still alive, but much older--having no clue their former baby is still around, rusting away somewhere.
@ad356 Many old farmers keep these around forever thinking they will be worth loads of money as they sit and oxidize and disappear under the sun. Never buy a thing from these crazy old bats.
cant believe they are just sitting there like that. these cars are worth big bucks, even in the condition they are in they are still worth money. these cars are mostly clean and restore-able, high dollar vehicles when finished
