I would go for the pride aspect man, Because this was going to happen either way, so at least there is footage, and people got to have a shitload of fun with the beast, and people can see what they do for years to come. If we hadn't bought it off the dude, it probably would have been scrapped. At least we got to let this beast run free and wild for a few years before it was over. Amazing trucks.

haha, gotcha :) Yeah, that can happen. Cool man, hope you find an awesome toyota. I'll never understand the 1st gen thing, toyota's been making pickups since the 60's, and this bodystyle didn't start till 79. There's at least 2 or 3 generations of pickups before these beasts :)

I checked it out man, thing looks awesome! Beast. If its a US toyota, then its just called a Toyota Pickup. I'm pretty sure the Trekker's were Dealer installed, US built 4x4 components, retro-fitted onto 78 and older pickups (previous bodystyle to your's with 4 small round headlights), before they were sold brand new. So you could go to a specific dealer in 78, and get a 4x4 toyota, but it was actually a 2x4 toyota, converted. Which is cool, but your 79 is a real 4x4 toyota :) Beast!
