Turkish and Turk are not similar. Its like Slovakians and Slavic. There are many nations around the world that came from Turks, including Turskish people. When we say that Yakuts are turks, its like if we say that Russians are Slavs.

Both songs are in Yakut (Sakha). It's just that the first song is in more literary language. Yakut Language is so complicated!!! It gave me a hard time at school. I still don't read decently.=)

As far as I know the Yakut people migrated from central Aisa 1000 years ago. Their language is very related to Turkish.

We lived with our family in Yakutsk for over a year. Now we are in the US. The year in Sahka was a highlight of our lives. The Yakut people were amazing with their beautiful culture and hospitality. We are Baha'is and came after the Sahka government requested English teachers for the republic. Do you live in Sahka?
