Hey man i just Got a Dell latitude C600 and evert time i turn it on it loads the first screen and then it turns a sreeen on that says " Microsoft (R) Windows 98 (C) Copyright Microsoft Corp 1981-1999" and i have to type somthing in for " C:\> " and i dont know what to do for that part.... CAN YOU HELP?
@Pilotak47 Microsoft Windows 98 is probably corrupt then. I don't know why that wouldn't work, but the last time I used Windows 98 on a real machine was almost 10 years ago now. Even if you could get it work, Win 98 is compatible with almost nothing these days, even the latest web browsers. Best to find yourself a copy of Windows XP and get that on there rather than fight with trying to get that old Windows 98 to work.

@Pilotak47 Just type the word win at the c:\> prompt. But windows 98 sucks, you should find a copy of windows xp and install that instead.

Nice idea! I have the same laptop (Dell Latitude 600)...
If I may ask, where can I find the drivers for Windows XP?
Unfortunately on Dell site there are only the drivers for Win 2K...
Thank you very much for your help. :-)

@lmbrtube There are none. But they aren't necessary. The computer works fine with XP's generic drivers.
