2 Bird points icant even score 1. i hunt across the river from the spiro mounds i cant even get 1 bird point.

@SgtGrant23 i came up from Missouri into Clay county Arkansas, alot of the fields here rarely produce anything larger than 2 inches. I have found 3 fields in clay county that put out nothing but bird points, and celts.

Woodland site...could have older deeper obviously. Are you sure some of that pottery did not come from the house that used to sit there??

@jasonjmj Yeah, I'm sure of it. It is made of clay, sand, and crushed shell mixture. also,in this part of Arkansas the fields with the artifacts in them are literally scattered with pottery shards. I filled 2 one gallon buckets full of shards from one field alone. I agree with your era suggestion, Woodland fits the profile, lots of small points used for actual arrowheads, for bows. I plan on asking the land owner for permission to dig.
