This video is a response to Former POW says McCain is "not cut out to be President"

You're likely correct on your answer, but the real question then becomes is this character the measure of a good President. Herbert Hoover had amazing character (and an amazing reputation as an economic genius and humanitarian), but wasn't the man to get us away from the Great Depression. I think the real question becomes, what is the main qualification for a great President. There was a pretty decent article a read this weekend attempting to answer this question, I will see if I can find a link

Thanks, I'll look forward to reading it. Don't misunderstand me and think that my question would be the ONLY reason for me to make my decision, it would not.

Well I will give you this Mark, this is your least skewed video. I think you know the answer that John McCain would give, as he has given it a good 1,000 times ("and this bird will never change", sorry, had to). It would be an interesting one for Obama to answer, but I am not sure it is the litmus test for character. How about "Without using the word Vietname, name one thing you have done knowing it to be the right thing, but also knowing it to be detrimental to yourself". Would be interesting

My least skewed! Gee thanx! I think. Well John McCain would answer your question this way. "I knew it was right to press for more troops in Iraq when it wasn't popular, and I was the only one saying it, even though it would be detrimental to my political career. 'But I'd rather win a war than election' "
Obama would say, "I pushed for ethics reform in the Senate even though it would cut out the free meals I could get from lobbyists."
