Imam Khamenei says Muslim uprisings in ME against Zionism & arrogance

The two-day International Conference on Islamic Awakening and Youth wrapped up in Tehran on a high note.

Addressing thousands of participants from 73 countries, the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution said the popular uprisings across the Middle East and North Africa are part of a larger struggle against the global network of Zionism and arrogance.

Ayatollah Khamenei also said the hegemonic powers are hopeless in the face of Islamic Awakening and despite having their differences Muslims are still united against the expansionist policies of the United States, Israel and their allies.

On the final day of the international conference, the participants released a statement in which they condemned sectarian violence and extremism, welcomed inter-faith dialogue and understanding, voiced support for the Palestinian cause and Islamic resistance, urged greater attention to the youth and their socio-economic priorities, and called for similar gatherings with representatives from different religions in attendance.
