This is what F1 is all about. THAT pass, round the outside on the marbles, with knackered tyres on a notoriously dangerous high speed parabolic curve... Amazing. This is why the tifosi called him Il Leone.... I've never seen anything so exhilarating before or since then. Poor ol' Murray was nearly wetting himself and I have to admit, it makes me misty eyed every time I watch it. Marvellous.

I was there as fireman on track just in the outside of peraltada curve, it was amazing!!
BTW, during practices we have an accident just in the same place, let me find the video an i will post here the link

i remember this and have it on vhs, along with the commentry of the late great james hunt it will be one of my great memorys of F1 'and hes fairly rocketing away' fantastic posting. thanks

Thanks for posting this with context, Mr. F1Educator! :-) One of the all time great GPs from start to finish, and I was lucky to see it on the day (though on TV, not at the track).
