Extension springs are designed to absorb and store energy by creating a resistance to a pulling force. These springs, also referred to an tension springs, are custom manufactured by Newcomb Spring using a variety of materials ranging from .005 inches to .625 inches in diameter.
Extension springs offer a wide variety of end types to best fit a customer's application, all of which can vary in distance from the spring body. While the video shows the rapid production of springs with a standard machine hook end, we also produce parts with cross center hooks / cross loops, draw bars, extended machine hooks, expanded hooks, standard machine hooks, rectangular ends, reduced ends with swivel hooks, teardrop-shaped ends, threaded inserts and v-hooks.
From prototypes to short order and long runs, Newcomb Spring offers over a century of experience in the manufacturing of extension spring parts. Find out more at http://www.newcombspring.com.
