@asharkey3 It's just bad technique, unless the purpose is to put vibrato on the note after the bend. When learning to bend, players should focus on bending up to the correct pitch and develop the muscle memory of the bend. Adding vibrato is a "cheat" when you can't hit the correct pitch. IMO, Guitar World shouldn't be showing new players bad technique on the bends challenge.

@TDWPfanZA I realized my previous comment sounded condescending, so I'll type it differently. A bend is when you start on one note and shift the pitch to the desired note by bending the string.

i.e. F to a G if you're going for a full bend or F# to G if you're going half.

Nick seems to be confused about the difference between bends and vibrato. The challenge is to bend up to the note and hold it at the correct pitch. Challenge fail.

Jeez,some harsh comments here,just go to a different video already.It's just advertising,business in other words.I'm sure I'll never play these games but I think they're great,wish I would have got them instead of Rock Band or whatever it was I got for my kid,(the thing with the fake guitar,colored buttons?)I told him had he spent half the time on a real instrument he woulda got somewhere.Rock N Roll Nick,keep up the good work.
