Weckl's work with Corea is amazing. True to his word, even today Dave is expanding his technique and trying different things. The more recent Dave Weckl Band material has evolved in a new direction from his outstanding previous work. This interview leads into a cool performance of Island Magic.

I met him once. He's so humble, not at all about himself. Warm smile, looks you right in the eye, and makes you feel like you're the only thing on his mind at that moment. Great Great guy! I think most great musicians are probably like that. Very sincere!!!
