A couple of reels from the compilation tape "Meet The Champions." The tunes are "The Girl Who Broke My Heart" and "Strone Johnny." "Na Fili" (The Poets) featured Tomas O'Cannain (uilleann pipe) Matt Cranitch (fiddle) Tom Barry (whistle) but I'm not sure that this was the line up at the time of this recording. I think its "most likely." The band went their seperate ways in 1979.
This track is on Na Fili's "Farewell to Connacht " CD issued 1994.

  • great music; are they still on the go?

  • I'm afraid not . See the "more info " top right. Matt Cranitch was later a member of Sliabh Notes along with Dónal Murphy and Tommy O'Sullivan. :-)

  • 5***** and fav.!!!

Happy Easter to you and your family!
