is it painful to the mother to pull the pouch back all the way? and if not, didn't she protest when you did so to film the baby? Just curious.

@khoslananya No, not painful. They would not allow that, they would have moved away from us. We ere very careful.

@skeeterjane74 Yes even the unfurred females have a pouch that opens. It developes when they are a few weeks old. However they do not develop teats (there are 4 of them) until they are much older - over a year old.
