All of these men are wonderful, but Waylon is in a league of his own. what a voice. Kris Kristofferson said Waylon was the best country singer ever and he was also a great guitar player...listen to "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" and watch his "chicken pickin" at the end of the song. Wonderful...none like him.

I was a boy when these men were in their prime, and just turning a man when this concert was recorded. I speak of influences and I think of my father and his friends, and how much they gave to me. Now, so many years later as I watch this concert, I see my same thoughts sung to me as truth. I found some good mentors, I made some good choices. But, like these highwaymen, the soul of the working man is still not calm.
