hi I filed claim through the Better Business Bureau, and Freeagent got a hold of me and said he would upgrade it to 2tb Hard drive and give me free shipping back to them, said OK. ,,,, I'm still worried because the 2TB brakes and gets clicking noises, what scares me even more is that the CEO know about the problem and hes not addressing that.basically he us selling stock that are know good and not reporting it to his customers and that is a crime.just like Martha Stewart. so one has to spank them
if Seagate get away with selling bad products to there customers. we get upset. and Yes this Hard drive should be Recalled. Small claims court case could be done. what I would have to do. small claims court Santa Cruz County. sense Seagate is in Scots Vally CA . & some has to deliver it to there head Quarters.small claims Court is in Watsonville. prove that my Seagate broke.and fees to get there and ect.its a good case against them

@camboy1132 I've noticed a trend by tech companies to deny customer problems and issues. Frustrating and upsetting customers is not a good way to do business. With social media, customers can converse about brands and products online so companies need to be open and transparent to complaints. Just from reading the comments here, I can tell that Seagate hasn't done a good job.

Seagate needs to recall the freeAgent hard drives. they brake 3 weeks or less by 300 thousand people. Im thinking of getting small claims court case going in Scots Vally CA I think I will win my case

@camboy1132 Have you tried contacting Seagate directly? Usually if you talk to them in a non-hostile manner, they will be willing to help you out. But there's still no guarantee, it sometimes depends on who you talk too as well. In any case, good luck, hopefully you didn't lose important data.
