One of Lennon's finest vocal efforts as a Beatle!
-
This is a very complicated song as far as vocals are concerned. Paul is right behind John with his harmonies during the verses. One of the best and most underappriciated songs they did. I also feel that it was recorded perfectly. John later said that the middle was a bit "Tatty". But that he felt that this was one of the Beatles best early songs. (BeatleSongs/Will Dowlding)

no reply isnt really stalkerish, its about finding his woman with another guy in his own place. thats more of a "my woman cheated and im gonna bitch-slap her-ish"

who is Justin Bieber?

I agree there is no comparison. It just made me p.o. to read some of the negative comments here about a Beatles song which I consider to be one of my favorites. I'm out of touch with most music, but I will always love the Beatles pre-1967 songs.

@JimmyFraska what about you can't do that

@Brian1492 I hate when People try to compare Justin Bieber to The Beatles THERE IS NO DAMN COMPARISON AND THERE NEVER WILL BE!

@saguaroboy That's funny. Never thought of these songs as "stalkerish" then again I wouldn't mind if The Beatles stalked me anyway :D

Reading some of the comments on here makes me sad. Run back to Justin Beiber, where you belong.

Their most underrated song!
This and No Reply are kind of 'stalkerish'.

I really like this song..the stereo version. This song showed that they were good with creating great harmony, a very interesting non standard song pattern for the time, and the potential to do something pretty unique. I can think of several artist I would love to cover this song.
