  • This was filmed right near where me Uncle Dave lived (:

  • I was gutted when Brookside went off the air. This was the best UK soap by far.

  • i just remember watching it as a little girl now i am 24 years old

  • I loved Brookie, but it got ridiculous. The reason Corrie goes on and on is because, with some exceptions, it is real people's lives. Brookside, Jesus, fires, explosions, murders, gangsters, it was mad.

Still, they did heroin addiction brilliantly with Nick, Heather's husband. He was fine til she tried to stop him using, then kicked him out, then he died. No other soap suggested addicts could be fine with their gear.

  • @andymoore4 same as the bill... more american wanna be's....

  • brookside committed suicide. it kept losing viewers in the 90s because it turned into some american cable soap crap, with a murder a bomb an overdose etc. every week. and the more that turned off the worse they got. its glory days were when it was real- the royle family style.

  • Mick Johnson lives round the corner from me. :')

  • @p1nkAcid yeah, theirs something about the theme tune, thats exactly what iv been thinking, great soap tune

  • The lesbian kiss is the best part!!

  • I use to watch it when I was a kid mainly down to my Mom being obsessed with it.I remember Brookside being the first soap to have the balls to push the envelope before Eastenders,Corrie and Emmerdale did it.Its a shame other soaps have carried on and reaped the rewards of a soap that should still be here today.
