This is a montage from the good old days of WTOL in Toledo. This is from around Christmas time in the mid 90's.

Jeff Heitz is the only person no longer with the station. He retired in 2000. Chrys Peterson, Robert Shiels, and Dan Cummins are still part of the evening news team.

  • have one with joe ashton in it ?

  • this is when WTOL 11 was good to watch

  • @mpr4christ WMC TVs radar is an actually local doppler located at West Memphis Airport. WTOL's is just their name for ESP:LIVE- they have turned off their radar and rely solely on NWS Nexrad data.

  • @mpr4christ look at the ratings ass, WTOL still comes in first at 11pm.

  • yes it is. they have just recently revamped the newsroom for the old logos to the news one. I miss Chopper 11 too as these aerial shots were taken from it. Im a huge WTOL fan, hate WTVG and WNWO

  • I miss the Nightwatch title. It was catchy

  • Actually WTVG is #1 now. WTOL is in denial. Besides, they're not the only CBS station claiming to be the "news leader." Memphis' is the same way. Ironically, channel 5 there also has "StormTrack" radar, with the same slogan!

  • News 11 doesn't blow!

  • That was when they told people the news, now they have to chat about stupid shit most of the time.

  • Yeah Charlie died a few yrs. ago. I always watch WTOL at night
