  • What setting are the sound affects you show in this video on??? thanks great video

  • @McJazz1234 Which bits in particular? If you specify the particular sounds you mean and the time they appear in the video I can tell you how I was making them.

  • Do you lose audio quality when you run tracks into the synth?

  • @MrJambone1 The input is mono as opposed to stereo, so you lose something there. Otherwise it can pass the input through very cleanly if you don't process it with any effects.

  • I was wondering, I use Fruityloops 9 and i use the Nexus plugin alot.

So if i were to hook up the Microkorg to my computer and run it through FL studio, would i be able to play all the different varational sounds i have on my nexus through the korg basically?

  • @HypnoticCyclone Nexus is a VST plug-in right? I've not used that specifically, but you should have no problem controlling any VST instruments on Fruity Loops with the XL. Set Fruity Loops to receive MIDI data on the same channel the XL is set to transmit on.

  • @SleekOfficial i don't know if it works on the XL but on the original microkorg you can

  • how much is this?!

  • @SleekOfficial :-) You can't play a synth sound and channel your voice through the mic at the same time. However, you can put your voice through the mic and pass it to the outputs with no effects or vocoding at all.

If you select the "Audio in" preset, you can also sing or talk into the mic and bypass the vocoder but process it with the XL's effects, such as delay (echo) or my favourite for this, the Grain Shift, which chops up your voice into little bits and joins it up again.

  • @MisterBankz You can connect a pair of headphones, or connect the synth to an amp and speakers, a mixer, or a hi-fi or iPod dock that has an auxilary input.
