Kristy Kennedy shares her journey as a young Indigenous girl growing up in Bourke, attending AIEF Partner School, St Scholastica's College, Glebe, studying law at Sydney University and gaining a cadetship at one of Australia's leading law firms, Allens Arthur Robinson. Kristy talks about her experiences, the importance of education and helping younger Indigenous children, and especially girls, access a quality education.

  • So positive! So good. I was transferred to the primary department of the then called Bourke Intermediate High School, in 1967 and was there till December 1968, when I returned to Sydney. Have not been back since. 40 years later, I guess there are still "issues". Again, to good to have seen and heard you speak here.
