When first installing mine I now realize the plastic wrap was all full of purple'ish grease. I didn't think much of it and installed it drove the car fine for a good while maybe month or two and felt great now though I keep smelling this weird burnt type of odder. Like oil grease or something. It's not my clutch I know what that smells like xD
So could the filter have been TOO greased up and now it's burning or something need to open it up and see but haven't had time even though it takes 5 m

Just popped a K&N filter in my Civic Type-R. Yet to try it, but I've heard good things...

How is secondary filter? that is the one ontop of the box and they are nobody say to replace, to clean or do anything?? let me know because I like to know about this filter? replace or remove just run only with K AND N. I think secondary filter in most car is "charcoal" filter? not sure that all car have it! If you know please let give me mor INFOS. thank you

That instruction is " 1 size fit all" don't say much for that "specific" car

@BoredThatsYImOnThis No, that is wrong there. I do not know where you get that from, but there is no such thing. How the hell is rocks and stones gonna go into your air box when it is sucking in air, when you accelerate by opening up that throttle body when you step on the acceleration pedal?...

@rallysportdirect Yes it does guys. This air filter does produce a performance car sound and I love the way it sounds. Excellent Horsepower it gives and saves you gas by letting in more air into your engine and uses less gas from your gas tank when it comes to combustion efficiency. But, hey, you get check out all season performance tires from Goodyear or Dunlop company whichever all season tire makes your vehicle perform better and better acceleration spark plugs.

@saskwotch19764 Yep. You will expect a slightly different sound than the air filter you put in your car's air box. K&N air filter sounds like a performance car from Fast and Furious movie cars. There's all types of air filter of different brand you buy from O'Reilly, AutoZone or Advanced Auto Part stores. Also, you can also check out all season performance tires from Goodyear or Dunlop brand and better acceleration spark plugs will make your vehicle fun to drive and feels like a new car again.

Good review, some good points made. Good to see the instructions look detailed. I'm getting one soon for Nissan.

Can I expect any difference in sound by installing this filter?

@saskwotch19764
I don't think this filter will produce much more of an audible sound than your stock filter.
I would suggest going with either a Cold Air Intake or even a Short Ram intake if you like the sound.
