Interserve the support services and construction provider working with leading UK public sector title, The Municipal Journal (The MJ) conducted a special 'Better for Less' roundtable event with Chief Executives from some of the UK's leading councils.
In this video introduced by The MJ editor Michael Burton, four Chief Executives, Sandy Hopkins of East Hampshire District and Havant Borough Council, Nick Hodgson of Derbyshire County Council, John Mothersole of Sheffield City Council and Caroline Tapster of Hertfordshire City Council joined by Adrian Ringrose, Chief Executive of Interserve and Mark Peat, Interserve Partnership Director, talk about their thoughts on the round table.
Topics covered include the future role of local government, the level and extent of transformation in service delivery both to the community and within the council's themselves and how public, private and voluntary bodies can work together to drive innovation and efficiencies through a real partnership approach.
